Lisa is test-knitting the collar for this beauty:

It's the Traveling Leaves vest, designed by Julie Ashley.  Lisa named it Traveling Leaves because you can remove the collar and wear the vest alone, or wear the collar as a scarf or shawl -- the perfect interchangeable piece.  Yarn:  worsted wool.

The Aha Moments Blog ...

Here we go!
The Aha Moment Knits blog is up and running.  Keep an eye out - we'll be posting photos and comments about works in progress.  When they're finished you'll be able to buy the pattern as well as look back at the construction process.
The very first project we'll be documenting is a mohair/silk shawl that Lisa and I will both be knitting.  This  project exemplifies an Aha Moments philosophy - we can take a fairly simple project and make it stylish and special.  You'll also see (at least I'm assuming this will be the case ...) how differently a fairly straightforward pattern can be interpreted by two different knitters.  Feel free to interpret, embellish, personalize, create ...
